The Sound of Music - September 1 - 24, 2006
Based on the Maria Von Trapp's autobiography The Trapp Family Singers this was Rodgers & Hammersteins last collaboration. Set in 1938 the show tells the story of Maria Rainer, a free spirited nun who is hired by Captain Von Trapp to care for his seven children. Well known songs include Do-Re-Me, Sixteen Going on Seventeen and The Lonely Goat Herd.

Cheaper by the Dozen - October 6 - 22, 2006

The hilarious comedy about a father who "thinks" he knows what is best for his family. The stage is set to back fire when he discovers he knows very little about what makes a family tick. Join us for this very funny story about family life by the dozen.

The Rocky Horror Show - October 27 - November 11, 2006
Special showing October 27 & 28 at midnight

A loving couple, a few lost monsters and a sweet transvestite from transsexual Transylvania sing and dance through a campy, sloppy salute to horror movies and sexual liberation. Bring your sense of humor. And some toast. You have to see it to believe it.

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

January 19 - February 11, 2007

The Biblical saga of Joseph and his coat of many colors comes to vibrant life in this delightful musical parable. Joseph is a boy blessed with prophetic dreams, and his father's favorite son. When he is sold into slavery by his jealous brothers and taken to Egypt, Joseph endures a series of adventures in which his spirit and humanity are continually challenged. He is purchased by the Potifars where thwarting advances from the Mrs. lands him in jail. When news of Joseph's gift to interpret dreams reaches the Pharaoh (wryly and riotously depicted as Elvis), Joseph is well on his way to becoming second in command. Eventually his brothers, having suffered greatly, unknowingly find themselves groveling at the feet of the brother they betrayed but no longer recognize. After testing their integrity, Joseph reveals himself leading to a heartfelt reconciliation of the sons of Israel.

Gypsy - February 23 - March 11, 2007

GYPSY is the ultimate story about an aggressive stage mother. Join Rose, June and Louise in their trip across the United States during the 1920's, when vaudeville was dying and burlesque was born. Jule Styne's music and Stephen Sondheim's lyrics include Let Me Entertain You, Some People, You'll Never Get Away from Me, If Momma Was Married, All I Need Is the Girl, Everything's Coming Up Roses, You Gotta Get A Gimmick and Together Wherever We Go. This is a gripping story of one of the most frightening aspects of show business.

The Little Mermaid - March 30 - April 22, 2007

Loosely based upon the story by Hans Christian Andersen. Ariel, youngest

daughter of King Triton, is dissatisfied with life in the sea. She longs to be with the humans above the surface, and is often caught in arguments with her father over those "barbaric fish-eaters". She goes to meet Ursula, the Sea Witch, to strike a deal, but Ursula has bigger plans for this mermaid and her father.

Narnia - May 4 - June 3, 2007

According to C. S. Lewis, it "all began with a picture of a Faun carrying an umbrella and parcels in a snowy wood." As readers of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe well know, that faun was Mr. Tumnus, who introduced Lucy Pevensie to Narnia, the enchanted land of talking animals and valiant battles. Since this first Narnia book was published in 1950, countless children have followed the tales of the world that Lucy found behind the wardrobe. See it come alive as a musical on The Artists' studio Stage.
