High School Musical
September 12 - 28, 2008
High School Musical charts the struggles of two teenagers, the basketball hero Troy and the eggheaded new girl Gabriella. Both want to play parts in the spring play, Juliet and Romeo (“a feminist reworking of ‘Romeo and Juliet,’ ” Mr. Simpatico said) at the fictional East High School. Peer pressure from their respective cliques, the Brainiacs and the Jocks, keeps them from auditioning. A hypercompetitive drama club queen, Sharpay, also works hard to stymie their ambitions. In short TAS has the talent and we're gonna" do the show! Charlotte's Web - October 10 - 26, 2008

April 3 - 19, 2009
It seems especially fitting that the first rock opera, created as a concept album at the end of the turbulent '60s, should have at its center a social and political rebel. Jesus' meteor-like rise in renown provides, as the title suggests, a parallel to contemporary celebrity worship. As his radical teachings are evermore embraced, Judas increasingly questions the enlightened motives of this new prophet, resulting in betrayal. Christ's final days are dramatized with emotional intensity, thought-provoking edge and explosive theatricality. Propelled by a stirring score, by turns driving and majestic, satirical and tender, JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR illuminates the transcendent power of the human spirit with a passion that goes straight to the heart. Beauty and the Beast May 1 - 24, 2009
Step into the enchanted world of Broadway’s modern classic, Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. Based on the Academy Award winning animated feature, the stage version of Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST includes all of the wonderful songs from the film, written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, (the team responsible for LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS), plus new songs written especially for the Broadway version by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice (ALADDIN, AIDA). Be transported to a lovely French provincial town where the beautiful Belle lives with her father – a dotty inventor. When her father doesn’t return from a trip to the local fair, Belle rushes off to find him. To her dismay, she discovers he is being held captive in an old castle by a horrible beast. She trades her freedom for his and the “tale as old as time” begins. How Belle tames the unfortunate Beast and his ultimate transformation into a handsome prince continues to enthrall audiences on Broadway nightly. In an unprecedented move, Disney has allowed MTI to license stage performances of the show to its customers while the show continues to play in New York. Filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities, or even more simply staged, Disney’s BEAUTY AND THE BEAST offers a great opportunity to bring your entire community together for family theatre at its best.
