Session IV is the culmination of the year with a production

Building Block I: Let’s Get Started

Learn the basics of acting like stage directions, creating a character, working with a scene partner, and more in this fun and engaging class. Building fundamentals is the key to success for any actor—and going back to basics is essential for continuing to grow as a performer. A monologue and scene showcase at the end of the class will mark progress for each of the students and encourage them to work harder and smarter to learn the essentials. Classes

Building Block II: Now that You Know Something

Now that you know the basics, it’s time to up the ante and continue to improve your abilities! More advanced scene study and character development accompany great attention to personal development as an individual performer. Find your voice as an actor—then learn how to find someone else’s! Classes

Building Block III: Playing Well with Others

You can act on your own, you can act with a partner, but can you act with a cast? Ensemble building is essential to creating a strong production. Work with a large group to perfect sharing the stage and creating the most believable scenes through large scene studies, group exercises, and continued individual development to add to the group dynamic. Classes

Building Block IV: Let’s Put on a Play!

After learning the basics to acting, working with a scene partner, and working in a group, show off your new found abilities in a one-act play! Class runs like rehearsals for a professional production; learn your lines, develop your character, and put the whole thing together for a showcase performance at the end of class. Only offered in BB IV
