One Day Workshops on Saturdays

Cost: $59/class

One-day camps that will focus on one activity connected to the theatre.  There are no final performances for these camps.  They are geared towards having fun learning the craft of the art!

Stage Combat – fighting for the stage, learn how to punch, kick, fall, trip for stagework safely and in control.

June 14           Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

Shakespeare & Other Classics – will train the young actor to approach Shakespeare and other classics of the theatre.

June 21          Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

Mask Making – teaches the creatively inclined to build and create a mask from imagination to realization.

June 28          Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

Dancing! – the young actor will learn the basics in dance styles usually used in auditions and on stage in productions.

July 12           Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

Singing! – the young actor will learn how to interpret different styles of songs and how to choose a song for auditions that is appropriate for their voice.

July 19           Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

The Monologue – trains the young actor to break down and approach a monologue for auditions, cold readings and techniques for approaching a script.

July 26           Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

Audition NOW – learn basics about auditioning, receive advice about appropriate songs, the etiquette of auditioning and valuable information for a successful audition.

August 2        Location: Rehearsal Studio  1 pm—4 pm

Dramatic Fun Hour by Hour      

(Open to Ages 5-16)

Designed for the parent who wants to have something  interesting for their child to do after camp. For the diverse child who is interested in every thing from improvisation to singing and dancing to crafts.  There is no final performance and pick up times are flexible.

June 9-13         Location: Theatre/R.S.          Time:  3 pm—6 pm

June 16-20       Location: R.S./Theatre          Time:  3 pm—6 pm

June 23-27       Location: R.S./Theatre          Time: 12 pm—6 pm

June 30-July 3  Location: Rehearsal Studio   Time: 12 pm—6 pm

July 7-11          Location: Rehearsal Studio    Time:  3 pm—6 pm

July 14-18        Location: Rehearsal Studio    Time:  3 pm—6 pm

July 21-25        Location: Rehearsal Studio    Time:  3 pm—6 pm

July 28-Aug. 1 Location: Rehearsal Studio    Time:  3 pm—6 pm
