For the child who loves to be in character, this class is about performance aspects of drama.  Children will learn how to build a character from the ground up; how does he/she walk, etc?  How to memorize lines. TAS Company I-Ages 13-18.   For the student who loves the theatre but not the singing! Students will study character development and methods of acting.  Ways to memorize lines, how to overcome stage-fright, stay focused and listen while performing. Broadway Saturdays-Ages 8-16.  This 90 minute course is for musical theatre children aspiring to perform. We will do FAME THE WORKSHOP this session. Intermediate Musical Scene Study - Ages 9 - 14   A semester focused on building a musical theatre character with concentration on how to present and perform both through song and drama.  Students will be given musical selections from classic and or current Broadway shows and monologues to compliment them and will work toward building "one" character through both mediums. This class is taught by Jason Poorboy.  For the more serious theatre student, this class will require outside work and students will participate weekly based on preparedness. Advanced Musical Scene Study-Ages 11-15. This class is for experienced students of musical theatre.  It is an intensive session of scene study and character development for those who are dedicated to improving their craft.. Improv Alive!  Perfect for the child who enjoys improvisation and sketch comedy. Improvisational exercises have always been a favorite among our students. You will learn the rules of improv, play improv games, create characters, then write and perform your own sketches! Nickelodeon's The Amanda Show is an example of improvisational sketch comedy.
